A Bit About Me

I'm an aspiring science writer with a strong background in biology, environmental health, and communications. My specialty is translating complex scientific concepts into engaging content for diverse audiences. Skilled in research, writing, and digital media with a passion for promoting scientific literacy and environmental awareness, I am committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in the ecological and environmental sciences. My goal is to amplify underrepresented voices, bridge communication gaps, and foster a more inclusive scientific community that addresses the environmental challenges faced by all communities.

Work Experience

May 2024 - Present

January 2023 – April 2025

As a Social Media Manager at Quiet Communities, I develop and schedule posts across various social media platforms to enhance engagement and educate the public on the health and environmental impacts of harmful noise. I work closely with the communications team to draft and edit email communications, including targeted campaigns, biweekly briefs, and our newsletter, Quiet Matters®.

As a member of the inaugural EXP Explorer cohort at Northeastern University's EXP Makerspace, I focused on safety, community building, and technical training to ensure a welcoming and well-managed interdisciplinary design workspace. I oversaw the front desk, supervised and assisted students in their creative and academic projects, and managed the upkeep of various equipment, including sewing machines and 3D printers.

July 2023 - January 2024

As a Communications Intern at the Harvard School of Public Health’s Department of Environmental Health, I revitalized communication strategies by overseeing the website, social media, and newsletters to enhance public education and engagement. I promoted key events such as the JBL Symposium and Whittenberger Lectures, reinforcing the School’s position as a leading knowledge source on the human health.
